When Love is Free

I’m still mesmerized
By the patience living in your hands
As you gently untie the knots
Braided into my chest
Once living like stagnancy
Then freed
With the grace they’re soaked in
I watch you sip on all the light attached
And I’m still awed
By how you make medicine
Out of the liberation
Like the wisdom is woven into your fingertips
They find the delicate creases of my face
Singing through this smile
Brilliant hymns of gratitude
These melodies of freedom
I’ve found in our love
Ascending into the heights of each note
I don’t question how we’ve risen here
I just learn the vibrations
Made of sacred expanses of the heavens
Then realizing
They are right here
Dancing around the kitchen
At two in the morning
With you
Like our window in the dark of this night
We are lit up
Glowing in the brilliant graces of the universe
Smiling on our love
Endless blessings drawn in
Like moths to a flame
In this blind faith
We know
We are free
Sleeping on endless years
Spent delicately healing ourselves
Mended wounds resting in faith
Waking softly from dreams
To realize
We are already in one
Never afraid to fall
Because like freedom
In your love
I rise instead
I’m still learning how to thank you
For teaching me
How beautiful it can be
When love
Is free
